400 g flour
100 g brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
80 g margarine
1 teaspoon of vanilla baking powder
grated lemon peel
icing sugar
a pinch of salt
frying oil


Beat the softened margarine with the sugar.
Warm up a glass of water and pour it slowly in a bowl on the cornstarch and turmeric; beat with a whisk to avoid lumps.
Stir the cream margarine, add the lemon zest, salt and flour with the yeast.
Formed into balls of dough and FRY in hot oil.
Drain them as soon as they become browned and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Cotte e mangiate: sono venute buonissime ma al posto della curcuma ho messo del colorante giallo per alimenti (ma solo perchè non avevo la curcuma, non per altri motivi). Spolverate di abbondante zucchero a velo sono state un successone. Provatele! Ciao
